Dolphin locks up on startup indefinitely

Hey, so I have been using Dolphin for a few months (constantly updating with each new build) and I have never had many problems with this program. Yesterday, however, I was messing around with the settings and I noticed that there was a way for Dolphin to detect what games my computer had and store them in its library. I decided to set it so that it would scan the entirety of my Mac and find all of the games within. On the next startup, Dolphin immediately froze and game me the spinning rainbow wheel of doom. I have left it like that for the last 6 hours or so and there was no noticeable change other than when I came back to my computer, i could now at least see the program name on the upper bar. Please help me, I just want to play my games again!

Attached below is my computers specs:

Locate the Global Directory folder for Dolphin, I think its located at "~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin", and under the Config folder, open Dolphin.ini and delete the line "GCMPath0 = xxxxxx". That should reset the search of your entire harddrive for games

Open Finder. Go to the top bar

In the result, type:

Quote:~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Config

Open the file Dolphin.ini in TextEdit.

Delete this line: "GCMPath0 = xxxxxx"
