Hey all, I am wondering what the differences are between running a laptop with Linux + Bluetooth-Passthrough using my laptop's internal Bluetooth versus buying a Wii BT Module on Windows 10 and soldering the proper parts onto USB.

Is there a difference in speed/accuracy with wii-remote inputs/motions that I will achieve with one over the other? Thank you.

There is no difference. Linux has the benefit that it does not load a generic driver over your USB device causing your device to be unusable by anything but Dolphin.

Depending on the quality of your internal BT adapter (assuming it's on a USB bus), range and # of wiimotes it can connect before dropping connection may vary.

The Wii BT adapter will always have excellent range and always be able to connect 4 wiimotes.
