If it were a heating problem, the first thing I would suggest is to open up your PC and clean out the fans, especially the fan over the CPU. If your not familiar with this sort of practice, I'd advise you not to.

There are alot of freeware programs that shows your CPU heat status. I think there was one called SpeedFan, try that. As mentioned your power supply could be dieing, how old is your rig?

I downloaded prime95, but how do I use it? I opened my computer and cleaned the fans out so hopefully that will help and I'll try speedfan out. My computer is fairly new, I got it a little over 2 years ago.

HAd the same problem ,tryng a Wii game and the emulator for the first time.
I play a while ,then the then the pc turn off ,WITHOUT Blue screen .It just turn off the pc.

I think it' s seriously and actually a BUG of the emulator.
I did try various " games" for the pc for Hours ,with all the options i could like antialias and so on.
NEVER had such an issue and no crash like that.

Maybe it could happen a blue screen sometime ,but never a so sudden "turning off".

System is opteron 175 on a Dfi ultra-d ,2gb ram,HD4850 card gddr4 (not the newsest ,but not the "weakest" around ).Not the newest of the system off course,
but i repeat i use VERY HEAVY programs very often (like music application that strains 100% cpu and HD ),and just
with Dolphin i get this behaviour.
I will test with another game ,and see if changes .

Ok it crashes anyway.
Tried prime ,pc DONT crash.Guys ,can damage the machine so i would like to ask if others got the same problem ,to see if it's something like to update DirectX or whatever..
or at least to elect some options that are known be "safer" ,
at least to have the dolphin to crash ,instead of the machine
