Bug
Before filling an issue I think I may ask here first to be 100% sure that this is a bug. When right-clicking a Wii game in the list, choosing properties and then going to the "Filesystem" tab, Dolphin should list all partitions present in that disc right?

I found this "bug" when playing around with Super Smash Bros Brawl dump. In my first dump, I messed something during the scrub process and got an ISO that contained only the partition data (the update partition and the 12 VC partitions of the original dump were removed). After some time, I managed to make a correct dump of Super Smash Bros Brawl through CleanRip, but Dolphin doesn't show up all partitions.

This dump is uncompressed and unscrubbed, and I'm sure that it isn't corrupt because the game run fine in Dolphin. However, the filesystem tab only show the "Update" and the "Data" partition. Dolphin should show 14 partitions, because every masterpice of SSBB have one separate partition, but instead I see only the update and the game data partition. I'm sure the ISO isn't missing these partitions because they show fine in WiiScrubber, for example.

This is the intended behavior or it's really a bug?

And have you verified that the MD5 hash of your dump matches that of a verified dump? It is possible to get corrupt data and still play (most of) the game correctly. The amount of corruption may be small and/or you just haven't gotten to a point yet in SSBB where the corruption is apparent. Your MD5 hash might be fine, but in cases concerning disc image integrity, it's one of the first things you should look at.

Yeh, I noticed this too. I looked at the code and it is missing the stuff to parse the VC partitions. That's why only the update and game partitions are visible.

It's really cosmetic only as it doesn't break any functionality - the VC masterpieces still will not work if we made the emulator display in the VC partitions.

The reason why the masterpieces do not work is because I don't know how to boot a VC that is on a disc partition. It is not like a game disc and also not like a wad file.

If someone can give me some information on how to boot these partitions I should be able to implement the masterpieces boot in Dolphin.

This affect other games too, don't? If I remember correctly, Wii Fit Plus and Mario Kart Wii also have an additional partition for the channel installer...

Well, actually I was trying to extract the VC partition files to do some modifications (then I could test on my real Wii). Should I open an issue in Google Code then?

EDIT: If I compress the ISO to GCZ, these partitions will be gone because Dolphin doesn't show them?

@Shonumi: I'm sure that the dump is OK, the MD5 hases are the same of a verified dump and also the partition integrity check of Dolphin related no errors. Extracted all files without errors too. The only issue is the partitions that doesn't show up...

You can open an issue if you want, but I don't think it will be very high priority for any of the devs.

I'm not sure what the GCZ compression will do in this case. I think the VC partitions should be kept, but I'm not sure.

I'll probably get ripped to shreds, but wouldn't it be easier to play those VC games, but on an emulator instead (like Snes9x, PJ64, etc)?

My objective in accessing those partitions isn't for playing the emulated games in Dolphin, I just cited the MasterPieces because it's the only ISO I know that have various partitions. Wii Fit Plus and Mario Kart Wii probably have an additional partition too, but I can't confirm right now because I don't own the games, so, I can't dump...
