My computer specs:

Intel i3 2120
radeon hd 6850

On my Asus 24" monitor project M runs perfectly but if I run my DVI to HDMI cable to my 40" Sony the game gets pretty choppy at times even though the fps remains 60 on both displays. and seems to have a little bit of a delay on the button input.

Is it possible its my processor even though the fps remains at 60?

Does the TV have a game mode? Set it to that. That should at least fix the delay, and hopefully fix the choppiness as well.

Go into Catalyst Control Center and make sure your refresh rate is set high (at least 60hz) while connected to TV, check also VSync settings. Although you hadn't specified the model of your Sony TV, it's unlikely to be that, they generally have very low input latency. You could also try connecting your video card directly through HDMI (without the DVI adapter) to see if helps...

thanks Major! The game mode on the TV made a huge difference on the choppiness. Still seems to be a slight button input delay but its very playable. I appreciate it! Now I just need another controller.
