Dolphin in Xbox One (UWP & Win10)

I would say it's because Nintendo isn't a (direct) rival to Google since it doesn't have any mobile device. With Microsoft it's different (at least concerning the Store from the Xbox One) because they're direct rivals (and console exclusives still is a big thing nowadays, especially for Nintendo) and also because Nintendo actually sells some of those old games on its Virtual Console service...

Yes It rejected Only for Xbox. Yes published on others Stores (Windows 10, Windows Phone and Hololens).

Still, Windows Phone and HoloLens can be a target to Dolphin. OpenGL support on ARM chips are pretty bad and having DirectX can boost up ARM development.

Given the responses in this thread it doesn't seem like a UWP version of Dolphin is realistic at least for the foreseeable future. That being said though, I thought it would be an interesting visual experiment to work on a quick mockup for a UWP version of Dolphin. Maybe someday.


Also I threw in a couple additional icons for some features I hope someday make it into Dolphin.

AFAIK UWP theming is based off of the host OS color theme

That depends of the developer. I have a bunch of UWP apps that are "hard-coded" to a specific color, generally matching the branding of the app/service...
