My thoughts exactly. 1~3 FPS seems like something well within the margin of error. 10 or 15 FPS, on the other hand...

Of course many people wont have a choice as Microsoft has a monopol on pre-installed OS in laptops. Talk about political business corruption! It's disguesting. In my case i just wanted to see if w8 was really faster like some peolpe are saying in this post. W8 is free to test now for 3 months so i thought "why not? I can always go back to w7 if i don't like it." So i will just keeping using it for 2 months or so. There's a saying here where i live "Some people just want to be on top of the wave." 08-31-2012, 04:05 PM

Until the wave suddenly changes direction and you fall off of it......
Seriously though this is a product that a big company is trying to mass market to lots of consumers. They're going to hype it up and say it's going to be the next big thing. Telling people to always buy into this nonsense is bad advice because 50% of the time whatever X company said was going to be the next big thing ends up falling apart and the people realize that the hype was unjustified. In many cases with hardware and software consumers are left with a useless or unsupported product (I can think of at least 1 or 2 instances when microsoft has done this with their OS) that they paid good money for. I can't even begin to list the number of times that this has happened to me in the past. Sorry if I sound a tad harsh, I do agree that there is nothing wrong with trying it. But that is a really dumb expression. However I don't believe that this will happen to microsoft again because they simply can't abandon something like windows 8 quickly even if it doesn't become a big success. They have become such a big company that they can't stop supporting a product too quickly or they risk angering their consumer base, a lot. I don't think that what happened to windows ME will ever happen again, at least not on that scale.
