Make dolphin isn't blocked by antivirus software , firewall or something
Dolphin - Option - Config - Interface : check "Use Panic Handles" then run the game again (dolphin should pop up some message if something goes wrong)

Nevermind, I see you updated your post with your specs. Have you made sure to use the latest 64-bit Dolphin build? Also, the dialog box that pops up when Dolphin crashes has more text that we can't see with just a screenshot. Copy and paste all of it here; it may give us more clues about what's going on.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a newer VC++ build than this website even recommends, latest DirectX. I've tried builds all the way back to vanilla 3.0

32-bit works fine but... well, it's 32-bit. Crashes upon loading and, oddly, when trying to configure my controllers by clicking on GCPad or Wiimote

Crashes with this error

I tried the 32 bit version and it worked. But again, I'd prefer 64 bit for obvious reasons.

And I can't really try a different game when it comes to trying to configure my controls and getting a crash.

'Which 32 bit are you using, and which 64 bit version was crashing? Remember not all versions are the same. Theres a whole list of them in the download page. Also you need to show your PC specs and configuration before anyone can try and help you.Smile
