Yeah you don't legally need a wii to play games on Dolphin since it HLE's everything and games can be dumped with LG drives. What makes it kinda ironic is that the wii is the only console that sells with profit, in the unlikely case of PS3 emulation you would save Sony money that way.Tongue
Specs: intel i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz;
16Gb RAM; Raedon HD 7900;
Win8 64-Bit

You don't need to dump anything from the Wii to use Dolphin? Like a NAND flash dump. I thought you did. Granted I've never tried because I don't own a Wii, but I thought you had to do something.

Are you guys saying that you all get your games the leagal way?
Does it really have to be your game or can you just borrow it from a friend or something?

I think the offical rules are that you're supposed to make copies of games that you personally own. Obtaining copies of games that you don't own, either from the internet or a friend could be looked at as piracy because you never purchased said software. So multiple copies of a game that was only purchased once is illegal, thus could be considred a violation of the piracy rules.

Some people think that you can "legally" download games for emulators and try them out for 24 hours. Then be a good someritan and delete it off your computer. However, that is not really legal at all. It was spread around when MAME came out and people thought it was actually true. Some sites even have you click `I agree' to a statement that you promise to delete the game after 24 hours if you don't own it. Several game companies have clearly stated that there is no such law, and downloading games off the internet, or making copies, is illegal and there is no 24 hour grace period that you can try them out.

Here is a link to a PS2 forum post where someone tried to argue the logic of the piracy rules in most forums. Read what AIR says in explaining why the rules exist and are so strictly enforced.

If you don't know, then it's not a LG-Drive
