If you didn't get it for what would be considered cheap relative to a GTX 680, then you got ripped off.

A GTX 680 is far more powerful than your card. If you look at any actual benchmarks for anything you'll see that.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional

Perhaps , he bought that GPU long time ago
Nowadays , you can get 7850 OC Edition for only 165$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004
Or a Gigabyte Windforce OC Edition for 180$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125451
7950 cost 290->330$
GTX 680 cost 490->610$
If you have plan to upgrade , be sure to wait for AMD 8000 series and buy a graphic card that have much higher memory bandwidth

I am not sure if you can still get them but reference 6950's can be BIOS modded and overclocked to 6970's which is what I have and I saved (at the time) like $150 USD. Just make sure it is reference.

Can your GPU (6970) handle 4IR + 4x SSAA with demanding game such as Zelda TP ? This is his question

My eyes are slightly above average. I just care more about these things than your average "gamer".

Please learn to quote properly. It is very difficult to determine which parts of your posts were written by you and which parts were quoted from another source.

Lumbeeslayer Wrote:really what fps do you get its makes no sense that i cant achieve your settings,,, and i just got my 7850 my first graphics card ever!!!! Christmas of 2012 wtf yet it cant handle dolphin??

Read more carefully next time. He is not using the same settings as you. And he is not using the highest possible settings. This was mentioned multiple times in the thread. He was using 8xMSAA in d3d11 instead of 9xSSAA in d3d9, which is a lot less demanding.

The data you linked has nothing to do with actual performance.

His graphics card is nearly 3 times the cost of yours. It is only natural to assume that it is much faster even without looking up benchmarks. But here are some benchmarks comparing them in case you're curious: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/778?vs=772

As you can see the GTX 680 is up to twice as fast in some games. So yes he's going to get better performance than you if you stress the card enough. However dolphin does not need a modern high end graphics card to achieve good image quality and good performance at the same time. You just need to stop using ridiculous settings. Your cards should be able to handle a high IR and moderate AA at the same time without problems. And quite frankly you have no need for anything higher than that. You're unlikely to notice the difference between 3x IR with AA and 4x IR with AA. You're unlikely to notice the difference between 4xMSAA and 8xMSAA. And you're unlikely to notice the difference between 4xSSAA and 9xSSAA.

Lumbeeslayer Wrote:MY 7850 IS NOT CHEAP ;(

"Cheap" is relative term. Your card is a midrange card. It is not that cheap compared to most graphics cards but compared to a high end card like a GTX 680 it is cheap. Compared to a midrange card it is average and compared to a low end card is expensive. Compared to graphics cards in general it is average.

In PC games , yes
In Dolphin , no
VRam and Core Clock do not matter in Dolphin . I tried to underclock my GPU core clock 200MHz , no difference whatsoever
And if I want 1000MHz or higher core clock , I will overclock it . 100MHz is just small OC , even a laptop GPU can do
