Dolphin Graphic Problem (FireGL V5700)

Hello,
i just recently downloaded multiple versions of dolphin (1546, 3012, 2195). But with all of them I had the same problem:
I can load a game, but once it starts, the screen goes black and i get a warning (from Windows) that my GraphicsDriver screwed up and was reset.
I use Viste 32bit and a FireGL V5700.
I came to the idea, that the game wouldn't work or something (compatibility issues). I didn't want to give up, so i tried it on my old computer (WinXP, GeForce 6600GT) - and there it worked :/ (but VERY slow).
I updated my drivers and all, but it still doesn't work.

Could someone give me a hint where the problem could be? Is this type of OGL-GraphicsCard not really supported by Dolphin? Or is could it be something completely different?
I really have no idea, thanks for any help.

try updating directx 9 and getting c++ redist (links found on requirements thread), also try updating your GPU's drivers and finally but not least depending on the game it could be compatibility issues or you need to play with the GFX settings

ATI FireGL V5700 is like an OpenGL enhanced Radeon HD3650, it's supposed to get even better results if you use the OpenGL plugin.Undecided

Does this happen in other games or just Dolphin?
Have you checked the default profiles? Try making one for Dolphin with all settings on 'application controlled'.

You said something about the drivers getting reset, have you tried enabling/disabling VPU recover in the driver panel to see what happens?
I'm guessing your computer is a laptop Wink

Hello,

first installed the C++ (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A5C84275-3B97-4AB7-A40D-3802B2AF5FC2&displaylang=en) thingie from the requirements thread (http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-4.html?highlight=requirements), which didn't do much. I'm not exactly sure what it is for, but it didn't destroy anything so I might as well leave it be.
Then i tried updating my dirextX9 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en). It didn't work with this either, but at least I was then able to try out the directX plugin for dolphin. But unfortunately it didn't work at all (even less than the ogl one).

But thanks to the tip about the VPU recovery I found an article somwhere, where they had the same problem (with external monitors, but this is just a slight difference).
They sent you to: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-71851 (well... yes, my computer is a laptop, lenovo w500... i have no idea if this driver works for anything else), i downloaded 150mb of driver data, installed it, rebooted - and kaboom! it worked.

So thank you guys Smile you were a big help!
