Yes I also had this problem and I'm not 100% sure if this is the fix but,remove the hotkey from the old dialog(the small one...you have two menus which lead to configuring keys)and set the hotkey in the new dialog that allows you to set keys for a lot more things.
I'm not behind my pc to give you exact explanation
