why do you use x86 ? You know, that x86 is 32bit... if you have Windows XP/Vista/7/8 64bit installed try to download a 64bit build

Technically x86 is 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit, and 64 bit. But people are too lazy to type out the extension names x86-32 and x86-64 so it's now become common to use x86 as shorthand for x86-32 and x64 as shorthand for x86-64. Of course you're both right. He did mean to say x86-32 and you interpreted him correctly. I just felt like pointing that out for some reason.

Also if you checked his profile you would have seen that he is using windows XP (and not the 64 bit edition of windows xp). So he can't use 64 bit builds.

Anyway, is there a way to fix the emulator so the error message stops appearing? It´s driving me crazy when I want to switch from game to game.

BTW - My laptop is considered low end, but I use 3.5 and can reach full speed consistently on many games. This should be for the lowest end pc Tongue

The error is not generated by the emulator, Windows detects it and the message appears when a game is stopped (3.5 stable) or launched (3.5-17xx). It seems to be a kind of conflict in the internal code of the emulator´s kernel.

Aren´t your specs a bit high for you, to be considered low end? Also, this is not the truly "low end PC" if we start talking about CPU. My cousin has a 1.76 GHz (1.92 GHz O.C., for now) Celeron Dual-Core and runs the same games I have (a little slower of course).

His system is low end by modern standards. Your cousin's system is extremely old and even worse.

I don´t know if "kernel" is the right word, but I am suspecting that any hidden failure is in the emulator´s internal code.

You haven't told us what the error message says. We really can't figure this out without knowing that.

Weren´t you able to check the attached image? If the answer is "no", then I´ll write it here (yes, man, traducted):

"Dolphin.exe has found a problem and needs to be closed. If it is in full process, you may lose the data you are working with. For more information about the error, click here."

Note: Traduction is not perfect, try checking it and correcting it by yourselves.
