Dolphin freezes while trying to connect Wiimote

Hi!

I'm trying to get my official Nintendo Wii Remote to work in Dolphin. I've connected the remote to Windows and it's shows in the device manager as "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01". The four lights on the Wiimote are continuously flashing at this point. I open Dolphin 5.0-rc-19, click on Controllers, and there's nothing in the Real Wiimotes section. I click on Refresh and it becomes permanently unresponsive until I kill the program. Does anyone know how to get this working? I'd really like to see how this computer handles the emulation.

Computer specs:
Gigabyte X99-Gaming G1
Intel Core i7-5930k
16GB RAM
Radeon 7950 Crossfirex3
Onboard Intel Bluetooth 4.0, 3.0+HS, 2.1+EDR
Windows 10

Thanks,
Sanjay

try giving 4.0 or 4.0.2 a try....thats what im currently using and it works fine (except for an unrelated, non emulation related issue im looking to resolve)

my other problem is solved by moving up to 5.0, but i then encounter the problem you're seeing. worth a shot

EDIT:

look for other "human interface devices" on your system. I just went to devices and Printers and realized i had a Dlink USB dongle connected which is used for a media remote. once i disconnected it, dolphin 5.0 works just fine. I read elsewhere it was interference from other HIDs on the system.

i read in another post something and managed to get it running:
install dolphinbar
pair your wiimotes
switch to mode 4
unplug the dolphin bar
hold the sync button and replug the dolphinbar
hold the sync button until the gamecontroller shows up in devices.
now dolphin sees the wiimote, and doesnt crash anymore when clicking on refresh Big Grin

I'm having the same problem, but on OS X. Dolphin 3 works fine, latest 4 and 5 don't. I would try the dolphin bar method, but I don't have a wii sensor bar laying around that I don't need.

For anyone interested, I ended up disabling the built in Bluetooth, and plugged in a slightly older IOGear Bluetooth adapter and everything worked great immediately. It would be great to get it working this easily with the built in Intel Bluetooth controller, so if anyone knows how to make it happen I would love to hear from you!
