I only had this happen when I had rumble enabled and was using the Mayflash GC USB adapter.
Dolphin freeze when exiting a game

Using a Mayflash adapter with rumble. Disabled Rumble, no change. Disconnected adapter, restarted Dolphin (no adapter detected in Controllers), disabled Direct Connect and Rumble. No Change.
The behavior I see is that pressing Esc or Alt-F4 simply stops the emulation but doesn't redraw the Windows screen (so the game graphics simply stop moving and my mouse cursor shows up). Pressing alt-tab shows my mouse cursor, but no windows (which should have been brought forward by the alt-tab) or alt-tab window list (e.g. if you hold Alt), and I can alt-tab back into the emulation (after not being able to switch to anything else) Pressing ctrl-alt-delete shows the normal Windows 7 screen (lock this computer/log off/task manager), but I can simply hit Esc and it goes back to my desktop. Work-around that works for me: Disable confirm on exit, press Esc, ctrl-alt-delete, Esc Windowed mode works just fine. Full-screen with all Enhancements and Hacks disabled exhibits the issue. Borderless Fullscreen also exhibits the issue. This is on a laptop with integrated graphics, so drivers are a little funky. Will see if I can find a source of updated ones for it, but based on reports of this issue, I might not be the only one. Let me know if there are additional info/logs can I provide. |
