Dolphin fps drop ?

Hello Dolphin have one little bug when i play at my game ,Like The last story gets fps drop if i don't remove EFB scaled EFB copy and reactivate it in the first loading of game.after the game work most well ....it's only on my pc ? thank  Angel

Your CPU is not one of the strongest needed to emulate The Last Story easily.

Last Story is one of the hardest games to emulate, it even lags on a real wii. combine that with your CPU being fairly old, but not entirely obsolete, and you're looking at not having a great time in Last Story.

I've thought about a problem of distribution on the vram and gpu,because the fact that i disable the copy high resolution textures and reactive in game gives me 30 fps stable like in my vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS_1J7NIEz4

but i will keep my cpu because many of game like the witcher 3 works very well in ultra ,hight settings and the last story can run at 30fps with him

some pc with an newer revisions of cpu they had the same performance on this game.

The main performance problem in the game is that it usually requires efb to ram(efb to texture only disabled). Scaled efb copies on increases that problem further. But with the above build, the game virtually runs in efb to tex(efb to texture only) mode. This won't fix all performance problems in the game, as i heard there are some later scenes that are still quite demanding.

When you hold down tab, you can benchmark your performance. Can you compare your trick to the above build? I did not expect something like your trick to affect performance much.

My rig ( i7 4700MQ @ 3.4GHz + GTX 860M) does not run that game full speed with latest Dolphin . DX12 changed that . TLS run flawlessly at 2560x2112 res even with "EFB copies to RAM" now !
You should give it a try

thanks ,on the last story it's a bit the same for me in dx11 and dx12  ,i prefer 720 p (4k is so glutton

Kepler (GTX 6xx , GTX 760) is DX12 API capable but cannot use newer features , I guess that why you don't get huge performance boost like my maxwell chip
Edit : Oh ,wait . You're not using Window 10 x64 , are you ? Dx12 is only available on Windows 10 . So you basically run dx11 instead of Dx 12

Yes of course i'm on windows 10 pro x64 and dx12 is detected by dolphin,but dolphin work well.

it was a strange problem indeed . I was playing with the fps dropping , but by returning to the graphics options menu the problem disappears and my video cards start to working ...i can see it at my sli bar the frist load of game i get 27 fps in high resolution and after i open the menu of graphics and return in my game and i get 50 fps .it's good like that ,thanks

Dolphin doesn't work with SLI , crossfire , dual GPU . Even if you see SLI enabled on graphic option , only 1 GPU can be used . We always advise people not to open the graphic settings in-game . By doing that , you will overwrite the default .ini settings . In this case , "EFB copies to RAM" was reversed to "EFB copies to texture" which improved your performance by sacrificing accuracy . Like @mimimi mentioned above , without "EFB copies to RAM" you will have "Clothes Textures Missing" issue the next time you load the save or the next place your charater move in
