yeah, I'm definitely not a developer, but one of my professors is, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that he'll be able to help me out (It also helps that he only uses macs and loves games)

I use to be a Mac hater, much like lukester. Infact, I said those exact words. It's almost kinda scary looking at it now... cause I was really ignorant then.
My friend bought a Mac, and I was disgusted. But the more I used it... the more I realized how much better (the OS anyway) they are than freakin PCs. Even the weight AND battery difference is ridiculous. My friend's Mac is still going strong with abou 3 1/2 hour battery life, and he's had the thing for almost a year. PC batteries do not even last HALF as long, nor are they as light weight as a mac. I agree that Macs aren't built for gaming, but let's be honest here...a smart consumer will buy a machine for their needs. As I get older, I realize how much less I need a pure gaming machine. I really just like to play Starcraft, and Macs can run that with ease. I'm actually considering wiping Vista off my machine, and put the Mac OS on here. Maybe dual-boot, but if I don't, I will definitley stick with the Mac OS. MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to use (coming from a network nerd stand point), and actually prefer to fix them over PCs cause they're just so freakin easy. 07-16-2009, 09:02 PM
I'm NOT saying the mac OS X is inferior to Windows. What I am saying is, to the general user, who doesnt feel like making a hackintosh, should steer clear of macs, i think this because you can get a pc that will have so much more power for the money and thats what people in their ad campaigns are generaly talking about "well i had a pc and it took an hour to start up" and its like, no shit, your using a computer that should be from around 2001 running vista, and you filled the hard drive up to the brim with memory so there is no paging file, and you run half life 2 on startup. Then you get the mac users who like to remove and replace internal parts of pcs to fix printing problems. I'm not saying again that all mac users are like this, but if the company wants to smear microsoft, and the only guy who they can find to do it, is a guy with printer issues replacing what is probably his memory or graphics card, i just think thats rediculous, i dont even know what im talking about, i said i was done but people keep talking and now im talking and..... just ignore this comment
