Hello everybody! Just wanted to let you know that Dolphin works amazing on my Samsung Note 9 (Snapdragon 845) would anybody know how I could draw the attention of the developers working on the Android releases? Everything works flawlessly except for one thing that is driving me nuts. The Playstation 4 Controller maps perfectly once paired to my phone to the gamecube emulated controller, but for some reason the left joystick does not get recognized in game at all, regardless of the key bindings. If this got fixed in one of the future releases I would be happy as a clam!

There is no working alternative to Dolphin (other than forks of Dolphin, which have the same restrictions). 11-06-2018, 10:08 PM
I have a DS4 connected to my phone and both axises work. Can you please show me your configuration?
DualShock 4 support on Android is currently a hit or miss. Some OEMs ships with controller layouts (or something along these lines) that allow all axes/buttons to be properly detected and others don't. I heard that Android Pie should ship with controller layouts for both the DualShock 4 and also for the bluetooth version of the Xbox One controller, so all devices shipping with or being updated to Pie will have proper detection of button and axes for these two at least...

I know Samsung is behind when it comes to updating to Android Pie, but this raises another question. Why does my DualShock 4 work with the other apps on my phone? If it was an Android OS issue wouldn't that mean it doesn't work in any games? I am currently on Dolphin 5.0-8987, this is the latest build that works (emulation actually succeeds) on my Samsung Note 9 (Snapdragon 845). I also am using the app Bluetooth Autoconnect to circumvent the latency issues the DS4 has when paired to the phone by default. I wish that there was some kind of app on Android like Input Mapper for PC (Not Rooted of course), so that I could emulate a natively supported controller. CLARIFICATION: I am talking about a DualShock 4 that is connected over BLUETOOTH 07-18-2019, 04:18 AM

So it won't work, but even then that class of device will likely be much too slow. If you're working on a limited price point, it may be that second-hand "high end" devices would give you better bang for your buck, but at some point it may be best to give up on running dolphin on low-end devices, as the experience will be so poor to be not worth chasing. 07-20-2019, 07:25 AM
