But I can see why they wouldn't - 2x the testing load, and putting such a decision into the hands of the "average" android user will be a disaster
Alternatively just ship 64bit support and handle it. Plenty of other companies ship 64bit on snapdragon 4xx and 6xx chipsets. I don't see why Motorola is special in needing to remove that to get a consumer ready device.
