I recently purchased the Nvidia Shield K1 and am running Android 6.0.1 (not rooted). I have the latest Dolphin emulator of 4.0 9820 version. However, the games are running very slow (if able to at all) and won't run using the "fast mem" feature. How do I get the emulator to run games and what issues are there? Is their a compatibility issue with android 6.0.1? Please help!!!

An Atom processor is not very powerful. It barely breaks 700 on Geekbench single-core: https://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?q=Z3745

(For compatison, a Galaxy S7 gets roughly 2100, and it can't run Dolphin full speed either.)

But again - your tablet doesn't run Android 5.0, so it cannot run Dolphin, and never will.

The following are requirements your Android device needs to meet in order to install the application:

  • Android 5.0 or higher
  • A 64-bit processor
  • A version of Android that supports 64-bit applications
  • A graphics processor that supports OpenGL ES 3.0 or higher.

If your device fails to meet any of these requirements, attempting to install Dolphin will return an error message reading "Application not installed."

Note that some devices are equipped with 64-bit processors and a build of Android 5.0 that can only run 32-bit applications. (This is common with Intel processors.) Installation will fail on these devices as well. There's no way to fix this, and no manufacturer has updated a 32-bit only device to support 64-bit apps yet.

So, what devices are supported?

Generally most high-end phones released in 2015 will meet these requirements. For best results, an NVIDIA Shield Android TV is recommended.

Well, it installed successfully on my OnePlus X running latest Oxygen OS version.
My OS is 32-bit and my cpu supports only the 32-bit instruction set.

it crashes upon running it though, which is to be expected. but still, it installed successfully so i got to see the sexy dolphin app icon in my app drawer haha Smile

I just tried to install Dolphin on my Galaxy J7, but I got the "Application not installed" error.
The J7 has a 64-bits proccesor.
But it is not compatible with 64bits apps?
I can't find info about that.

Then you probably don't have a 64 bit OS on that phone.

That's a meh-class phone anyways. It would play like a slideshow.

If it doesn't install, that means it's not a 64 bit OS.
