The following are requirements your Android device needs to meet in order to install the application:

  • Android 5.0 or higher
  • A 64-bit processor (AArch64/ARMv8 or x86_64)
  • A version of Android that supports 64-bit applications
  • A graphics processor that supports OpenGL ES 3.0 or higher.

If your device fails to meet any of these requirements, attempting to install Dolphin will return an error message reading "Application not installed."

Note that some devices are equipped with 64-bit processors but ships with 32-bit builds of Android. Installation will fail on these devices as well. There's no way to fix this, and no manufacturer has updated a 32-bit only device to support 64-bit apps.

So, what devices are supported?

The NVIDIA Shield Android TV and most high-end phones released in 2016 or later will meet these requirements.

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy A10 that i just recently fixed.
I was wondering if i would be able to run some more intensive games on it such as: Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom and The Simpsons Hit and Run, as these were some childhood favorites of mine.

Those games are quite heavy graphically. Your phone will struggle to play them at good framerates. You need a phone with A76 CPU cores and a good GPU to play them at playabe framerates. You can try and see how well they play.

Don't get me wrong dolphin is a great emulator but even on a 855+ snapdragon there is a constant jerk in the video every 3 seconds more than likely because of dual core mode and also you can't disable fast depth calculation without large FPS penalty.  Fast depth calculation causes flickering textures.  Plus bounding box emulation is too demanding also.

For your information: I have a Lenovo Tab 11 XiaoXin 2021 with Snapdragon 870 and Adreno 650 and 6 GB Ram, and the Wii games I have tested so far (not that many, but at least a few to get a bearing) work reasonably well. Didn't crank up all the settings, but it does seem to provide better results than my old Nvidia Shield Table K1. Games are generally playable.
