Dolphin fails to recognize GC memory cards on OS X

When I went to start a new playthrough of Paper Mario: TTYD, I got the message that there's no memory card inserted in slot A, so, I could only play without saving. I tried opening Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and I get the same message! Then I opened the memory card manager to check if the memory card containing save data for both these games is inserted and it IS! I also re-insert it and Dolphin still doesn't recognise it! And this only happens on OS X. On Windows, using the exact same build, the issue isn't present. It seems like memory card manager is broken on OS X. The build I'm talking about is 4.0-8950. I didn't check if it happens with older builds before I posted this, for 2 reasons:
-It's been a long time since I played a GC game.
-I searched the forums and I didn't find any similar threads. So, there's a chance it's only me having this issue.
Does anyone using Dolphin on OS X have the same problem?

I'm having no issues with memory cards on OS X 10.11. (I only tried Wind Waker, but saving and loading worked fine. On a sidenote, the water splash effect was really glitchy for some reason. Not sure if I should open a bug or not.)

@OatmealDome Nah, it's probably just OSX's shitty drivers.

@OP Have you tried switching to GCI folder instead of memory card, just for shits and giggles?

I fixed it eventually, but I had to delete the whole "Dolphin" folder in Applications support (except for the Wii folder inside that). It seems the caches, or config files had something to do with it.
