Hello, i'm Gentoo Linux user, and i have problem when i launch any game with Dolphin. When game start, i have message "Failed to initialize video backend" and Dolphin simply close.

Can you help me please ? Ask me if you like more information about my system (look my original post on Gentoo Forum). I have disable PIE Gcc option for dolphin when i build it to prevent bugs.

Optimus has lots of problems in Linux.

You're probably hitting one of them.

The PIE issue should be fixed by the later dev releases - you can use the dolphin-9999 ebuild to track the current upstream git master. This is generally the recommended method anyway, as the dolphin 'development' releases are mostly stable (as "broken" code likely gets fixed in PRs before it's merged anyway).

EDIT: from your forum post it seems your whole system OpenGL is broken, and you can't even run glxgears. It's doesn't seem like dolphin is the real issue.

(I though when using switchable graphics you should set the default opengl implementation to the integrated graphics - so mesa not nvidia's drivers should be set using "eselect opengl"?)
