Dolphin.exe has stopped working

There's actually a post with this title down bottom, but nobody gave an efficient answer... so I'm re-posting it.

When I start dolphin and double click SSBM, the game screen turns black, then grey, then windows (vista 32-bit) closes it.

I visited the requirements thread, and the only two things I don't have are the direct x download( currently installing) and the VC-2008 by Microsoft (downloaded, waiting to install). Should this take care of my problem? (I just want a heads up so I can start downloading anything else that I might need) YES I VISITED THE REQUIREMENTS THREAD
