Dolphin Emulator wont run. First time

Hey guys. dont mean to necro a thread but I saw a LOT of ppl having this problem and very few solutions. I decided to give it a shot other day and I think I figured out what was wrong.

I'm not 100% sure but I updated my anti virus and did a full scan. found like 25 virus' or something. it was quite a few. dolphin worked after cleaning up my computer.

so. might be something virus related thats causing the dolphin emulator settings folder to not be generated properly. anyways. just a heads up in case anyonee else has this problem. i remember spending quite a bit of time trying to figure it out before giving up and just playing in my living room on my wii instead of being a lazy bum in my room lol.
