Hi! I seem to have run into an issue. every time i exit out of dolphin emulator it crashes when i open it again and try to load a game. It saves my controller options and my game progress but i have to got to the website and redownload it every time i want to close it. I was also wondering if there was a way to make a shortcut on the desktop for dolphin. Thanks!

Where are you installing/unpackaging Dolphin? Try somewhere like c:\Dolphin so it doesnt have permission limitations. Also simply right click on your Dolphin.exe file in Windows and select "Send To" > "Desktop"

having it in downloads should be fine. Can you give more info on what "crashes" means?

when i open a game it opens a window and instead of displaying yellow text and running the game the 2nd window where the game should load stays black and i get a message: Dolphin.exe is not responding. Checking for solution. Seconds later it asks me to close the program

Can you show a screenshot of that window or paste the text in the details portion? Essentially we need to see the actual error message in that window (the one that says "Dolphin.exe is not responding" to help.

My image of the error message won't post but it says "Dolphin.exe has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
available"

With the option close program. It also never tells me a solution

i'm pretty convinced that the whole "windows looking for solution" thing is it pretending to take a long time to tell you to restart your computer and/or router
Arch
Intel Core i7 - 4510U
iHD4400
8GB RAM

I have the same problem. I've tried moving the program and whatnot, but nothing seems to work. I've only been able to play games once before they can't be opened by dolphin anymore.
