Android is somewhat considered "Your Mileage May Vary" - there's too many know issues (performance, driver bugs causing mis-rendering, UI weirdness) that means it's not really considered ready for prime time. Development versions might work for you on specific games on a specific device, but remember there may be game-breaking bugs you just haven't seen yet.
