I played a few games with dolphin on the OpenGL backend without any problems.

However, I always run into a problem when loading a savestate with the DirectX11 backend. All of the games seem to start up fine, however, loading a certain point crashes not the Emulator, but the entire screen (it goes black).

The graphics card I have is decent, a Nvidia Geforce 630 graphics card that is about 2 to 3 years old. I've been noticing strange noises with the fan, and extreme heat with the graphics card. It's been doing that since day 1, and no problems have been occuring until now. I just decided to switch to DirectX11 for ease of use of Texture Dumping (being able to see png textures instead of tga textures in windows explorer and dialog box... I don't have the money/resources to flush in for the only program available out there currently to view TGA files in preview... MysticThumbs)

Anyway, the problem lies in either the graphics card, or the Emulator. I already figured the emulator is not the problem...

As I stated before, the graphics card has a heating issue only when playing games, and I also stated I don't have money to get it checked or replaced (or buy a new pc... the last one I bought was faulty, and my friend convinced me of not getting the warrenty except under himself, so, I don't have a manufacturer warrenty because he built it for me... can't build one myself because I didn't know how and my friend got it for a discount for me, and hasn't been able to check up on it since)

Be careful with savestates, they usually aren't a good idea. Have you tried the latest version of dolphin?

Update to the latest development version and see if it works better there.
