Sounds like cpu throttling, what are your cpu temps while playing?(use HWMonitor or a program of your choice to check)
Edit: Could also be Nvidia Optimus, make sure in your Nvidia control panel Dolphin is set to use the Nvidia Gpu.
I think you can also right click on dolphin on your desktop and run with your primary GPU.
Oh, and make sure your power settings in windows are set to high performance.

While not supported, have you tried a stable release to see if it was present in an older version? Like 4.0.2?

Is it all your games, or just the one? Do you have all the settings you had set before set now?

All I can think of really.

also, please provide your CPU usage through taskmanager during the proclaimed lag.

Im using the latest version atm, but I'm gonna try an older version like 4.0 or 4.0.2 even know I already tried those versions but ill try again see if anything changed and update my post later and let you guys know, and it's currently all my games have a bit of lag, their playable but theirs a noticeable lag that it shouldn't have, I've never had this problem before until now

Can you please specify what "latest" means? You wouldn't believe the number of people that have said latest and been wrong...

Yeah, he wasn't meaning to patronize, but "latest" can be a relative term. You are on the latest (or one of the latest) build(s). Perhaps you had certain Dolphin settings enabled before that were reset when you did a system restore, did you check the Dolphin performance guide and see if you had the optimal settings on? Are you running at a higher IR?
