Not considering the visual graphics and stuff,I`d really like to play all the compatible games with full speed 60 FPS no trouble. What CPU , GPU and RAM do I need to do so?
Dolphin Emulation = Gamecube Clone(some games at least)

1. Wrong section.
2. CPU of 5 GHz and above (for all games to work in 60 fps), at least 1 GB ram and any graphic card with 128bit memory. 04-06-2010, 05:50 AM

RAM: 4gb kingston ddr3 possible memory MOBO:Compatible with ddr3 memory and your cpu. that's all i can say Fancy style: CPU: i7 OC GPU: GTX 480 or 5770 or 5870 the rest r the same ![]()

How many "what kind of a PC do I need to run Dolphin" threads do we need? Search the forum already people. There are no more new questions to ask anymore. Everything is answered in one way or another on this forum somewhere.
How many times are you guys going to answer the same questions?

Probably not enough.. I doubt we'll be seeing a functional ps3 or 360 emulation for a long time, maybe 10-15 years (or later, maybe never) because they both use cell broadband engine at 3.2ghz which has multiple SPE which could be somewhat compared to cores (though not the same thing) and a quite powerful custom gpu.. Keep in mind Wii has a single processor at under 500mhz and even then, the best consumer pc's today can't run all games at full speed (though the potential exists). But yes 5ghz is overkill even for dolphin.. How many people here use dry ice/liquid nitrogen/other cooling methods on the cpu? Not even water cooling can keep a core2 quad or an i7 sustained at those frequencies for gaming (04-06-2010, 06:18 AM)[SS] Starscream Wrote: How many "what kind of a PC do I need to run Dolphin" threads do we need? Admin should make a sticky with that above info... Really like 60-70% of new posts are stuff like "can my pc run this" or "why dolphin says error when I start game, I have intel gma integrated card". It's not constructive, it's turning into a personal support line. 04-06-2010, 06:24 AM
He was kidding, Ocean. He knows it's not going to happen.

But a lot of people actually think ps3 and 360 emulators exist and can be run on modern computers though. Just thought to point out it's impossible as of 2010, you will just get viruses and trojans if you download these fakes. 04-06-2010, 06:59 AM

He's not crazy at all. Get an i3 530 for $125 off newegg, a decent $40-50 air cooler, and disable hyperthreading and you'll be able to hit 4.8GHz with barely any voltage increase (.15v increase is needed) and I guarantee it won't pass 65 C at full load in a good case. How do I know this? Because I told my father to do this and his rig is prime95 stable at 65C full load. Also even 5GHz is not sufficient to run all games at 100% the entire time. You need at least 6 maybe even 7GHz on any modern processor (C2D or higher). Now THAT will require liquid nitrogen on a clarkdale cpu.
