There's this issue i have been having with dolphin's emulated gamecube contoller (i'm not using a real one). Every once in a while the main stick gets stuck in a position and it can't be fixed unless i reboot the program. For example, when i'm playing Legend of Zelda Wind Waker and i'm walking down a trail or something, suddenly the controller gets stuck and i can't stop walking. Literally it's like the joystick becomes stuck in a new neutral position. I don't know what to do about this and it is very irritating. Is there anything i can do to fix this problem?

P.S, i am using the latest version of dolphin

A common issue the n64 and gamecube had was a glitched analog stick control on startup, so be careful not to have any buttons held while loading a game. But if that's not the case then I don't have an answer, sadly. Why not buy a usb controller or adapter? I personally have been using one of these, along with my wavebird, and have had 0 issue.

Sorry this isn't exactly what you were posting about, but I hope it helps.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions, but unfortunately i don't think it would be of much use to by a usb controller or adapter since i might encounter yet the same issue again and it would then be a waste of money. I also am aware of that problem with the glitched anolog stick control on startup, because i also own a gamecube and have this happen to me. I've actually found a solution to it on the real gamecube, it was a certain combination of buttons that you had to press to fix it, but sadly this is not the case with the emulator, since i have also emulated n64 and there has never been an issue. Plus, whenever i manage to return the control stick back to the way it should be, the problem reoccurs a while later in the game, something that does not happen in the real gamecube.

Anyways, It seems to be some sort of glitch in the emulator i suppose. Not just the latest version, but also dolphin 4.0.2, 4.0.1, and 4.0. I've yet to to try the other versions, but i do remember using dolphin 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 on my older computer, and never encountered this problem. I doubt it's an issue on my end, but i will know once I try the other versions on this computer. If i also encounter the problem with those versions, then there's an issue on my end. If i don't encounter a problem with those versions, then it's an issue with certain versions of the emulator only, and i'l just have to avoid using those specific versions. I'l post my findings on this thread, just in case anyone encounters the same problem i do
