hello I do not speak English, so I'll use the google translator, I hope you understand me if there is a misunderstanding in my writing, I would like to give my point of view and tell my experience using dolphin in android on a Xiaomi mi6 snapdragon 835 GPU:adreno 540 6gb ram.

I would like to report the problems that I have with some games and some suggestions of future options in the emulator if possible:

_the latest versions of dolphin on android go from bad to worse because there is a reduction of 15 to 20 fps in the games and I do not know why.(please take it as a constructive criticism).

_the best graphic API option is vulkan, but it seems to cause graphics problems in several games, in resident evil 4 I did not have problems but with mario s. luiguis mansión, Mario soccer, need for speed most wanted. (in gamecube)

in wii I had problems to use vulkan with: project zero 4, dragon ball tenkaichi 3. in all games that poll with the option of vulkan present the same problem, the screen is black but if you hear everything.

_ I have managed to play and kill all the evil residents from 4 to 30 fps, but with an earlier version but more stable in my opinion, I speak of version 5.0.1626, after that version there is a graphics failure in the game of RE4 , the screen turns gray and only the game is heard, that not only happens to others who have snapdragon 835

_A suggestion for future updates would be the option of being able to choose the language in the games.

_problems with resident evil zero and the remake, in version 5.0.1626 only the game screen is seen and the sound and the steps of the character are heard, but the character is not seen to move. that problem is corrected in later versions, the bad thing is that in versions after 5.0.1626 resident evil 4 presents the failure of the gray screen.

those are all suggestions, I do not know anything about programming or development but I value the work, if some developer of dolphin for android reads this please do not ignore my message and keep it in mind. I like to play on portable systems, I support the work and I know that many, also this damon ps2 I made my purchase of the app to support the developers, it would be good if the developers publish dolphin in the future in google play with option of payment, so we would be several who would support the advance, I hope to have been support something, thank you very much that's all.

1. Problem with Dolphin on Android is that the drivers for the GPU on Android suck. The dev's cannot do anything about that. Please go and complain at Qualcomm to make them create a driver that supports everything that Dolphin needs. Then once that is done go and complain at Xiaomi to update the drivers for your specific device with those new drivers. If after that you still have problems with games, then you can create a bug report for the dev's here.

2. 99.999999% of the Android devices are too slow to run games in Dolphin without changing the emulated CPU clock speed or adding cheatcodes or hacks, and changing that clock speed WILL introduce game breaking bugs or other glitches.

3. You are already able to choose the language for the game, you just have to change the ini file (dev's have to chime in which ini file and what to change)

4. The $10 you spend on DamonPS2 is money you basically threw away, because DamonPS2 will never improve. The developer STOLE the sourcecode from the PS2 emulator PCSX2, the only thing he did was create a frontend for Android on it. The updates you will get will only expose options that are already in PCSX2 and some "instructions" on how to make the emulator less accurate so it will make more games run faster but introduces game breaking bugs. He also offered the PCSX2 team a hefty sum of money to keep their mouths shut so he can cash in on unknowing buyers of his shitty stolen emulator. So the only thing you did was give money to a thief... see the full story here: https://pcsx2.net/286-the-pcsx2-team-s-statement-regarding-the-damonps2-emulator.html

5. Dolphin used to have a Play Store version, but they removed it because it is a huge hassle to keep it up to date and no one will do that. Also "money is not an issue" for Dolphin dev's they make this emulator because it is their passion. And as was said many times before, they wouldn't know on how to split up the money they would gain from donations or buys on the store. Adding a paid option would probably give a lot more issues, because Dolphin developers are free to choose what they work on and they do it for fun not for profit, there are no deadlines so they can do it in their spare time or whenever they want. Adding a paid option would put pressure on the developers to develop what users are demanding. Also Dolphin would get a lot of 1 star reviews asking why it is so slow on phone XXX or where can I download "game".
Check my profile for up to date specs.

For Wii games, it's not that simple, since the value is stored in the SYSCONF file.

Thank you very much for answering both users, if I can change the gamecube and wii language manually thanks to you, I only have a couple of questions that I would like you to answer:

_the monster house game of gamecube closes automatically after the intro, when it is loading the game.

_the games that bring me problems with vulkan I can play them well with OpenGL, to be more exact the screen seems as if it had fallen black ink and only some parts of the game look good.
Then: can not that problem be solved for the snapdragon835 or others?

_Anyway, most of the games I tried are playable on my phone and do not fall below 30 fps, personally I am very grateful to the people who develop this emulator. Thank you very much for dedicating your time to improve it, they are my heroes.

Is there an Android device that meets the specifications that the emulator needs? or do they all have the same problem in the gpu? what do you think of oneplus 5t?

The NVidia Shield TV is alright, but that's not portable. No other manufacturers have made anything worth bothering with.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional

The Galaxy S9+ runs it almost flawlessly for multiple GCube and a Wii Game that I've tested so far.  Samsung Dex support for maximizing it would be sooo sweet.  That way you could play it on a screen via HDMI/USB-C/DisplayPort.  You can play it now, but it's just a tiny window.

Do you know how this compares to the Galaxy S8+, is it worth me upgrading to the S9+ since I am due an upgrade soon.

Thanks very much.

Thanks very much.

If it's the Exynos variant, then forget about it. The Snapdragon 845 is the best mobile CPU right now.
