Bug
Hi All,

Just wanted to ask for some advice I've been having running dolphin recently. Generally i play my Zelda games with Dolphin, and i experience a strange issue which can be seen in the following pictures:

https://photos-1.dropbox.com/t/0/AADp2_D7yCtnjx54gZTA17zWlxRMtpPSDdc10kuHyvVTvQ/10/42046965/png/32x32/6/_/1/2/zeldatp_glitch1.png/Y9SddVkCLMYArhlQbqiqmqgip6wGExqE3ZReIhavoSg?size=1280x960&size_mode=2

As you can see, there is strange graphical glitch across all the zelda games. Skyward sword also does a similar thing where the eyes are lit up. Has anyone seen / fixed this issue before?

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7 3770k
32GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 670 2GB
Mac OS X 10.8.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have dolphin basically on stock settings.

Thanks!

Your pictures aren't working. But it sounds like you are referring to the Dark OSX models glitch.

Ahh yes, that is exactly what the issue is.

Thats a real shame, I hope that gets fixed in the future. So its literally a problem with OpenGL on Mac?

Strongly considering swapping back to an ATI 6870HD.

Thanks!

Yep, it's a driver realted problem in OS X. best solution: Install Win 7/Win 8 through Bootcamp.

If it's an nvidia bug, then dolphin is the only place it happens.
I have the same issue, and it has persistent since 10.6, thru 10.7 and now 10.8.2 for me.
Neobrain said in a thread I opened earlier: "which is not even an nvidia bug but a Dolphin one
",
Some games does not have this issue at all, and in most games it can be fixed with "disable lighting",
however this option is removed after around 3.0-600, using this does ruin graphics a bit in some games tho.

Not all games are affected, like Pandora's Tower has no issues

Hah, the Nvidia bug even shows up on Hackintoshes? That's crazy, I thought their driver setup would be weird and nonstandard enough to avoid it.

Yeah, even on Hackintoshes the issue persists. I would assume thats because my Nvidia card is supported OOB. Considering going back to an ATI card so that i can just use OSX.
