Dolphin crashing on game startup

Whenever I try to load up a game(Fire Emblem-Path of Radiance), it immediately freezes and tells me that Dolphin.exe has stopped working. I've discovered that whenever I delete my 'Global User Directory' in my documents it works once but then stops working when I close it and try a second time. I changed the location of the User directory and used a local User directory but it didn't change anything. The game would only run after I deleted the directory.

I'm using version 4.0-8711 x64. My operating system is windows 8.1 pro x64 and I have 4 GB of RAM. I'm using an integrated graphics card(Intel HD 4000). My specs should probably not be the problem since the game runs smoothly at 60 FPS when I load it up the first time.

Anyone who can help me with this?

Sounds like the Intel HD graphics crash. Could you try updating your graphics drivers?

If that's the case, try switching GPU backends, it appears that the shadercache is causing issues with your particular intel card. I thought we finally iced that, but I guess not.

Ummm, I don't understand what I have to do. How do you switch backends?
EDIT: Should I switch from my OEM driver to the Intel one?

He means that you change the graphic renderer that Dolphin uses (e.g. from Direct3D to OpenGL).
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 800/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

I'm also having the same problem with Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It worked once and now it won't open again. I literally just acquired Dolphin beforehand and changed the settings to match what it said on the wiki page so I may have done something wrong there.

If you're using Intel HD, then it's reacting negatively to our shadercache. could we please get a stack trace or something?

How do I do that? Sorry, pretty new to this emulation thing

Switching from OpenGL to Direct 3D worked, thanks!
BTW, should I still do the stack trace thing? If so, how do you do it?
