Hey People,

If i set OGL as the plugin then try to boot a game, dolphin will open a black window but then crash instantly. This is the same for any game I try inluding games listed as working in the compatability list.

If i use the DirectX plugin then the same black window opens up and it displays a changing fps count at the bottom and you can hear the games audio but no video is output at all. It's Weird as it looks and sounds like it's working here but just displaying no video.

So my problem is if i use OGL the program crashes instantly on loading games, and if i use directX no video is output. can anyone help? my pc spec is listed below

OS: Windows 2003 SP2 (Build #3790)
CPU: AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core,  2.61 GHz, 512 KB
Video: ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series (1024x768 60Hz)
Video: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Series (1920x1080 60Hz)
Sound: Realtek HD Audio output
Memory: 2gb

TIA

JSE

EDIT: "Open Glide" changed to "OpenGL" to prevent misleading information. Dolphin will never support Glide API.

OGL means OpenGL.
Glide is a graphics library made for Voodoo Graphics cards.
Try updating your ATI graphics drivers and see if that fixes the problem and what game are you trying to emulate?
:: System Specs ::
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional x64
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5770
CPU: AMD Phenom I X4 9550
RAM: 6GB DDR2
EXP Index: 999999.999999

Sorry I meant opengl,

I had the ATI Catalyst Control Center version 9.7 which is the latest but I was told to downgrade to 9.3 as 9.7 has a memory leak so im currently at 9.3.

I have been trying to run Mario Strikers Charged and also the new Monkey Island Wiiware title, Both work fine on my Wii.

Thx for the speedy reply and help if you can Smile

tia

Better look at compatibility list and search forum about those games or wait for more replies, perhaps those games just do not work in Dolphin yet.

ok but Marios Strikers Charged is listed as working on the compatabillity list.

http://www.dolphin-emu.com/list.php?systemtype=Wii&listcount=-1

or am i misreading it? There is no key to the colors so i assumed Green means it is working

that list is extremely old and out dated. It may have gotten broken

i dont think it is a compatabillity issue as the games seem to be working in directx mode you can hear the audio and it responds to button presses, it just isnt displaying video. but when you try with opengl using the same games that gave you audio in directx mode it just crashes, tried quite a lot of games now and it does it every time
