Just installed Dolphin, got it working, happy with it, but I have run into an issue.

I am trying to run Mario Kart Wii, which requires me to create a licence with a Mii, which requires me to read the (emulated) Wii's storage memory, but it crashes when I try to do so.

Presumably this means I do not have a storage on the wii? How would i fix this so I either have a save file/can create and save and load miis.

Try using the latest development version of Dolphin instead of 4.0.2.

Ok so now opening Mii Channel boots up wii back to wii menu (restart essentially)

Could it be due to me having a european menu but a usa game?

No, but you need to install the redistributable that's linked to at the top of the download page.

Where are you launching Mii Channel from? The system menu or Dolphin's game list?
