I've been getting a crash when switching from/to fullscreen mode. It does not appear to be specific to any game as this occurs on any of the games I have tried it on and I have tried all the normal resolutions for fullscreen mode with no effect on this issue.
This is what Windows Error Report says on about it:
This isn't something new. It has been doing this since even the earliest version I could remember. So I have no clue what's going wrong. It's really annoying since I want to be able to switch modes (like to read a online game guide for example) but it will crash anytime I try.
It appears to be limited to the DX plugin. Using the OpenGL plugin allows me to switch modes without a crash.
I believe that perhaps my custom monitor config settings may be causing it. I have added a couple custom refresh rates to my monitor so I can run it at 75hz instead of the 60hz the normal monitor drivers use. However even switching to the standard 60hz still doesn't resolve the problem. I won't dump the custom monitor settings to fix this as I need this to reduce the tearing I get on games and videos that run faster then 60 FPS....
So any help on fixing this would be appreciated. I am using the OpenGL plugin until I can find the cause of the crash when using the DX plugin.
Here are my current computer specs:
CPU/RAM: Intel i7 965 Quad Core 3.2Ghz with 6GB of DDR3 RAM in Tri-Channel configuration. (Corsair brand)
Motherboard: ASUS P6T
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 8400GS (yes this card is a bit weak but it runs the emulator just fine when using the native 640x480 res of the Gamecube/Wii, so for now I'm happy with that)
Power Supply: Corsair 650watt Full ATX spec.
Harddrives: Samsung 1TB 7200RPM SATA Drive - 300Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM SATA (used for the paging file mostly)
OS: Windows XP Professional 64-bit Edition.
