Dolphin Crashes the Computer After 5-10 minutes of Playing Any Game

Hey guys. I have been having a problem with Dolphin the past few months and I have no idea what's causing it. I realize there's a similarly titled thread on here already; tried all suggestions there too and nothing worked.

My problem is that after playing Dolphin on any game, after about 5-10 minutes my computer will shut off instantly. No blue screen or anything, just turns off. For many months, I did not have this problem at all. I beat Wind Waker and didn't have one crash the whole game. Then one day this started happening. I've tested games on Dolphin 4.0.2, 4.0, 3.5, and whatever the latest development version was a couple months ago. I tried a complete reinstall of Windows 8.1 and that also did not fix the problem. I've also tried with sound disabled completely and that didn't fix it either. Any help is appreciated guys, I have no idea here.

Here are my PC specs:

Windows 8.1 x64
AMD FX™-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3850 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)
Hynix (Hyundai) 4.00 GB RAM

Check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU.

I measured the CPU temperature and the GPU temperature at the time of the crash using HWMonitor. The CPU temperature was 84°C and the GPU temperature was at 46°C.
Also, a friend of mine had me conduct an interesting test where I ran a program that had an infinite loop. Once this program worked my computer up to 84°C, it wasn't long after that it crashed. So I think we may have pinpointed the problem here.

Yes, but your Pentium had a bigger die. The smaller the die, the less heat it can take.

Hey guys. After using some compressed air and vacuuming out my computer, I have pretty much fixed the problem. The highest temperature the CPU got to now was 35 C, instead of 84 C! Not only that, but some Wii games that used to be barely playable run much smoother now. Thanks for the help.

Yeah well, you have to always keep in mind changing periodically the thermal paste too.
