Exclamation
I updated to the latest build of Dolphin (5.0-6354), and after using the new NAND check feature it says everything is just fine, and it was until I discovered that you can no longer load WADS on the fly and I no longer have any space to install any because my NAND is almost completely full... I'm assuming this is due to more accurately emulating the filesize/structure of an actual Wii?

So I free up some space to install a WiiWare title to see how things work now and it all seemed fine, but I decided that since I have no space I should make a 2GB SD Card image and shift all my WiiWare stuff over onto that. So  I slowly install WADs, move them to SD, everything is going ok, so I close down, reopen the menu, everything is fine... so I shut down.

When I reloaded Dolphin it immediately hung and crashed when I tried to load the system menu, it also crashes if I try to load a game. Restoring my old functioning backup NAND didn't work, disabling the SD card didn't work, restoring the original blank 128MB card doesn't work. Nothing short of completely wiping my NAND and starting over seems to work.

Everything was fine 'til I started messing with the virtual SD cards, how can this have broken everything so completely?

Can anyone please help?

OK, this keeps getting worse. Even after following the steps to create a new nand whilst keeping my save files and miis I can't use Dolphin AT ALL. I did everything right and it STILL hangs and crashes the moment I try to load anything at all.

I intitially upgraded from a months-old WIP build, overwriting as usual, and everything was perfectly fine until I tried to use SD Cards. Has something become corrupted? If so what?

I even just tried starting over from scratch, deleted the install folder, I deleted the leftover folder in documents and a clean install of 5.0-6354 STILL crashes immediately if I try to load a game!

Is there a slightly older build I should try? One that's considered more stable? Somebody please help.

The SD card stuff is a red herring. Your crash is caused by a bug in the emulated Wii Remote code that was fixed in 5.0-6356. The issue should be gone after updating Dolphin.

Oh, whew, I knew something didn't feel right about this.

I hadn't considered updating yet due to the missing Windows build for the latest releases.

Unfortunately, the Windows builder is still stuck and fixing it requires someone to restart the buildbot master manually (and only one person can access it), so it will probably take a while before Windows builds are available again

Ah, bugger. Thanks for the heads up though.
