This is not the proper place to be talking about sexuality, and while this may be your thread, it's up to the staff to decide what is or is not proper conversation on the forum. If you wish to talk about this, it would be fine in the off-topic section. People wouldn't expect to click on this topic about processors and see a completely unrelated topic going on, so please do that elsewhere. You seem to think that if you created a thread and if you're fine with the direction the thread is heading, then that's all that matters. You and I both know that is not always the case, so instead of always trying to question something, just say "okay" and move on.

Fine, if you're going to be like that then please delete pages 15 and 16 and the "damage" will be undone.

I just want to point out something interesting I found on the new Dolphin website here:
http://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/#hardware-system-requirements

Quote:Bad: The Intel Pentium 4 is not going to get the job done. While it technically will run games, they will never be fast enough to play at enjoyable speeds. This processor wouldn't be worth using at all.

Average: The AMD Athlon X2 6000+ is not going to be the CPU of choice to run Dolphin with, but it will work. You can expect a few games to be playable with this CPU, but the vast majority are not going to run at acceptable speeds.

Also, I find it strange to not mention any modern AMD processor, specifically those of the Piledriver architecture on the AM3+ and FM2 sockets. In general, for both AMD and Intel (and even GPUs), I would think you'd want some extra focus put on currently available CPUs since those would be what people will look at if/when they are looking to purchase an upgrade. I mean, do we really want people buying a Phenom II when Piledriver is out, a 2500k when Ivy Bridge is out, or a Radeon 6850 when Graphics Core Next is out?

Read the first quote here --> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-24755.html

And the first line on the third quote.

So the idea is that Piledriver is close to Phenom II performance?

No. The idea is that it's just a quick reference guide of sorts. The forum has all of the in-depth details, threads and discussions. The main site is not a place for giant walls of text to be displayed there. There may come a time when the models I listed may need to be changed, but not yet. As long as people still join and ask why their P4 and Athlon X2 can't run games fast enough, it's probably not time to update the list yet. And again, it's not meant to be all inclusive anyway.

I'd say that a good Phenom II processor still beats the newer ones that AMD have on the market today at least when it comes to games and emulation.
