Hi all. Is my first message and (I hope) not my last.

Few weeks ago I downloaded the last version of Dolphin emulator of the website (2.0). Ok, that's awesome. I put one game (for instance Baten Kaitos or Super Mario Sunshine) and, when I played roughly 5 or 10 minutes the emulator freezes at all and I must to close the emulator because I can't do nothing. I open the emulator again and I've the same problem without any solution. That happens with all the games.

Do you know something about that? It's a pity because I want to enjoy with the emulator with my GC games on my PC.

If you need information about my PC, here you have the aspects:

Motherboard: ASUS P7P55 LX
Processor: Core i5 750 2.65 Ghz
RAM: 4 Gb DDR3
Graphic Card: Geforce 9800 GT
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64
Adaptor: Magic Joybox 3 in 1 plugged with 2 official controllers, PS2 and Gamecube.

Waiting your answers, receive greetings and thank you in advance.

The version of the emulator is the last version (Dolphin 2.0 was released on April of this year). There we have my settings (see on attachments). Thanks to answer so quickly.

Your settings looks fine, maybe a system wide issue like virus?

No, because I install my PC the last Sunday and is not possible. Maybe could be the graphic card (the speed of the cooler) is so slow? Because I dunno how I can change that kind of thing. I go to Control Panel of Nvidia and it seems don't have that option.

in general settings disable Lock Threads to Cores. Also download the absolute latest rev from http://dolphin-emu.org (not to be confused with http://dolphin-emu.com)

Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team)

Thanks for your help Smile. This version is slightly better than 2.0 (speaking about graphical aspects are awesome... I'll use for now on the version that you recomend me), but I was testing your advice but is still freezing when I play 5 or 10 minutes. It could be the speed fan of the graphic card? Because I was thinking about it and normally the speed fan of graphic cards are 'castrated' (I mean, usually are at 39% and you must up the speed to have better results. I dunno how to make that (how I say recently on my last post), but I'm opening to wait and see more tips, advices and whatever to solve this problem Shy.

try to monitor your hw temperature (cpu, gpu mainly) using software like hwmonitor when you play dolphin, also I would suggest to test system stability using occt or prime95 just to be sure.

Your graphics card can get really hot, just to mention Wink.
