Hi all, i tried pairing up dolphin with my wii guitar following the instructions on dolphin's wiki page.

the first i time i installed libusbK and ran dolphin, it worked splendidly, no problems at all! but then it stopped recognizing my wiimote altogether and i could've sworn i hadn't changed a thing. i ended up changing a million things in my device manager to try and make it work but without luck. well today i restored my PC back to a previous snapshot before all this driver mess and tried again, following the same guide, it recognized the wiimote / guitar and i was able to play with it without fail! well now i know what casued this problem, (but not why) when i restarted windows dolphin again suddently stopped recognizing my controller and i'm in the same position i was yesterday. if i can't find out why this happens i'll probably have to system restore my way back everytime i want to use my wii controllers until the next restart.

has anyone else had the same problem where the sync fails after restarting windows?

also i tried pairing just the wiimote alone but without luck, it is an official nintendo wiimote.

I've been having lots of BT passthrough problems recently. Whenever I lose connection, I'm always able to get it back by disabling the adapter driver in Device Manager (under "libusbK"), and then re-enabling it again. I even created an AHK script to do this for me, since I've had to do it so many times :-). Just make sure that the wii remote's lights are not on or flashing before you do that; briefly disconnect the battery if they are. Sometimes, I've had to re-sync the wii remote, in addition to the above. If that combination doesn't work for you, you must have even greater problems.

I really don't know, it's an inbuilt bluetooth module with the name: "Bluetooth USB Module" under the bluetooth category in device manager but there are a bunch of other things there too, however that is the one that i replace drivers for in zadig.

I don't think i've tried simply just re-enabling the device, i have tried reinstallling it many times, i'll have to try it too, thanks for the tips!

Many bt devices dont remember wiimote pairing. You have to resync your wiimote everytime you launch Dolphin or everytime you restart the pc. Or get a more compatible adapter.

no, it wouldn't even resync, it just straight up went blind to any wiimotes whatsoever.

Give the WinUSB driver a try (also installed through ZaDig). It has solved many of my BT problems.
