Dolphin can't connect to the internet

So I'm trying to get MKWii online to work through wiimmfi and I followed everything from the patcher to the unbanner NAND Generator, and installing the online system update, but I can't seem to connect through as my error code now is 50200, which to my understanding means that the "virtual" wii itself isn't able to connect to the internet. I've also tried tinkering with Wii Menu internet settings to no avail, but that might be because it's trying to connect to the Nintendo servers. Maybe.

What should I do now?

While I don't know how to fix error code 50200 specifically, you should be aware that the unbanner doesn't work anymore. You need a NAND dump from a real Wii in order to play Mario Kart Wii on Wiimmfi.

"Unbanner" might be the wrong term - I was talking about the NAND generator.

I do have a homebrewed wii but I don't have a video cable and sd card reader on me right now so I definitely would've done that already. To my understanding, having/not having a "proper" NAND is still irrelevant at this step because i can't yet get banned if I can't reach the servers, you know what I mean?

That is what I'm talking about.

Yes, it should be irrelevant at this step. But you will need it sooner or later.

To get WiiMMFI to work you need an official dump from your Wii's NAND.

Step 1: Get a Wii
Step 2: Get a 1GB SD Card
Step 3: Softmod your Wii
Step 4: Dump your NAND and it's certificates.

The SD card doesn't need to be 1 GB. Practically any size works, as long as it's not SDXC with exFAT formatting.

Well... the NAND is 512MB, right? so... anything smaller than that and you won't be able to create a dump and as you also need stuff on there to softmod your Wii a 512MB will be too small, that's why I opted to say 1GB Smile

Yes, you're right, the SD card would need to be at least 1 GB. I was assuming that you meant that it couldn't be neither smaller or bigger than that, since there are some things you can't do on a Wii with an SD card that is too big.

Should that solve the 50200 error though? Cuz it seems that dolphin itself can't connect to the internet. Is there anything else I can test to see if the issue is NAND-related or not?
