I don't understand how hotkey fixes could cause this issue.
Dolphin breaking audio when using USB Audio Device? (Issue 8627)
|
I'm not sure either, but no verison of Dolphin post .5402 works on my USB audio device, I can load up Dolphin, and be clicking on the volume icon repeatedly to create beeps... and during the progress bar of Dolphin scanning for my games the sound will just cut out for my entire computer. It's looking more and more like I'll just have to wait until I get a diff mobo w/ onboard SPDIF output.

Ok I think I solved the issue! Since I reinstalled Dolphin, I restored my backup 'Dolphin Emulator' folder that I've used for years with all of my saves, etc... into the C: Drive, so all subsequent tries w/ new emulator versions was using the backed up folder. I wanted to give it a shot w/ a fresh Dolphin Emulator folder, and see if that helped. I deleted my backed up Dolphin folder in My Documents, and loaded the latest dev version .7622 w/ a new fresh one being created and loaded up one of my games and the audio works! So there was something in my backed up Dolphin folder that new versions of Dolphin wasn't liking. Now I just need to pull my saves and everything relevant over from my backed up folder and I should be good, I appreciate all of the replies thanks.
EDIT: And more specifically, it is when I enable 'continuous scanning' for real wiimotes that the audio breaks. If I disable this, and re-plugin my device and reload Dolphin audio works fine. Continuous scanning enabled appears to be the primary culprit.
