Hey Guys,
Dolphin works great I'm just trying to fix a small problem.

I'm running dolphin out of terminal and I'm trying to get it to exit completely when I hit enter on my numpad keyboard.
So what I've done is set up the stop hotkey to num_keypad, the exit hotkey never works so I can't use that.

When I run dolphin-emu -e "rompath" the stop hotkey will work but it dosn't close the main window (working as intended).
However when I run dolphin-emu -b -e "rompath" the hotkey will not work until I click the mouse on the screen once. So it is working, just not from startup.

I've used all kinds of graphic settings to test if render to main window, fullscreen, keep on top, have any effect on this, and they don't seem too.
I even tried dolphin-emu-nogui but everything in that works even less

I would love to just use the exit hotkey but that dosn't work at all. I've checked the googleissue tracking thingy for similar issues and while there is mention of hotkeys not working there is no helpful information on it.

As I'm trying to run this from a frontend on a console/like linux based computer I don't have access to a full keyboard, I do however have a small separate keypad sitting beside it used for controlling the more powerful settings on various emulators rather then mapping KILL to a gamepad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

And as always keep up the great work community and developers likewise. Smile

EDIT: Oh I forgot, I'm running
Lubuntu 14.04
Dolphin 4.0 4575

TL;DR

Can I make commandline dolphin -b capture the mouse & keyboard without having to click on the screen after it starts?

OK so I did more tinkering and it's not so much the program doesn’t capture the mouse it's the fact the wrong dolphin window is active on startup.

With Fullscreen and Keep Window on Top the dolphin gui/list has the mouse and keyboard by default when you start a game from command line.
Even though the game window is on top.

The hotkeys don't work when the main GUI is active and not the game window.

ALSO render to main window seems like it would be a perfect solution but it's been broken for a long time without a fix and it causes NO hotkeys to work.

So... dolphin needs to be a little smarter and make the game window active by default.

I might post this on the bug tracker, even though it's a non issue for most people.

And I can't use a simulated mouse click like this:
dolphin -b -e "game" & sleep 5 && xdotool click 1
Because my frontend detects the succeful exit command of the sleep/click and takes control again.
