Hey guys,

seems like nobody of you reads the merged PR titles of dolphin, this one was merged yesterday: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/3593
Quote:Continuous scanning must be enabled otherwise the Wiimotes won't be seen.
The UI doesn't expose support for this yet. One must change the Wiimote source and continuous scanning settings manually.

So in Dolphin.ini:
WiimoteContinuousScanning = True
And in WiimoteNew.ini for each wiimote:
Source = 2

Testing on my shield shows some USB issues, so maybe you have to unplug and plug the dolphin bar in again sometimes.

And damn, only up to 20 fps in Skyward Sword in default configuration. Who can beat me?

I totally saw it and got excited and went straight to Amazon to order one, but then I thought to myself "how much more performance can be squeezed out of the Android build?" Dolphin on the Shield is great but most games aren't runnng at 100% speed.

I probably will buy the Mayflash Dolphin Bar if only because I can use it with Dolphin on PC or Mac... but my device of choice would be my Shield TV (if it ran at least some games at 30/60 fps).

I'm also very surprised no one else is commenting on this. This was the missing piece that makes Wii games work the way they're intended to work on the Android build. GC games can arguably be played using most controllers, but many Wii games like Wii Sports, Resort, etc. are no fun on an emulated Wiimote.

Hello, very new to Dolphin and just bought a Dolphin Bar but I still cannot get any inputs to register on latest release-android Build #172

I see they added the icon in the settings again for the WiiMote but there is no mapping function. My WiiMote appears to be paired with the DolphinBar just fine and I received a popup on the Shield asking for permission for Dolphin to access my USB but no luck. Still unable to get any buttons to do anything, that goes for the Shield Controller too.

I read that they broke the conroller mapping here on this post and was hoping today's update would fix it.

Any suggestions on what to try ?

I did the suggestions below

WiimoteContinuousScanning = True
Source = 2

You shouldn't need to map controls for the Dolphin bar because it will use a real Wiimote.

The Dolphinbar support has been finicky in my experience though. I've had to unplug and replug it a few times. In general if the remote vibrates when you choose a game, it should work.

Yea I dont know whats going on, I can get the WiiMote to connect and a few buttons do things outside in the menu, I can even load an old version of Dolphin and see the buton presses in the configurator. But when I load up todays build I get no input at all from the WiiMote to DolphinBar to Dolphin

edit: argh...this is so frustrating. I felt it vibrate and got all excited thinking it was going to finally work......nope.

edit: errr, I can see the controller working when I press buttons on the side menu while playing a rom, there is a small white animation with each button press. Even though it doesnt do anything.

The Wiimote should not do anything outside of an emulated game.

If it is, you do not have your dolphinbar set to represent a Wiimote. Try switching the setting on the Dolphinbar. I think the correct setting is 4. Check the Dolphinbar manual.

You want to use mode 4 on the Dolphinbar in order for Dolphin to properly use it.
