Funny thing is, I had this problem when I installed 5.0, too, but can't remember what I did to fix it. It was something pretty simple, I remember, but don't remember what it was! 09-01-2017, 03:32 AM

I can't get the latest revision to work since it just gives me a black screen with yellow text for a few seconds then closes. It doesn't give a crash message or anything, but just closes and takes me back to the main Dolphin window. I reinstalled 5.0 in a different directory and it is working fine, as far as loading a game goes, but still no dice on the controller. I'll try another dev build one or two versions older and see if I can get it to work. In the mean time, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, --J 09-01-2017, 04:52 AM
Ok, I got the latest build, 5328 to work by deleting the ini file in my documents/config folder. It created a new one on the next startup and loaded a game just fine.
Once again, I get the supported bluetooth device not found so you must configure your wiimotes manually message. I tried mode 1, 2, 3, and 4. Again, modes 1 and 2 show up as game controllers and modes 3 and 4 show up as keyboard/mouse in Windows 10. The cursor will move with the wiimote in mode 4 but Dolphin just won't see it. I believe 5328 is the newest build and that's now what I'm running. What's next? 09-01-2017, 01:29 PM

So just to clarify when you go into the controller section of dolphin and click on the Passthrough a Bluetooth Adapter nothing happens, or is it just grayed out? By the way did you also trying clicking Sync under this setting to? By the way did you also trying clicking Sync under this setting to? It's not grayed out. When I click that, and then click sync, it tells me sync can only be clicked when a game is being run. When I run a game, the wiimotes never sync to Dolphin, although they do control the mouse cursor and are synced to the Dolphin Bar. I also tried emulate wiimote and clicked continuous scanning. That's the part that tells me no bluetooth device has been found. I've tried both options with no luck. I have another Dolphin Bar coming Friday afternoon, but I honestly think it's a waste of money. I don't think there is anything wrong with mine but I ordered another to rule it out. 09-01-2017, 01:41 PM
To clarify, when I'm actually running a game, both options are grayed out...Passthrough and Emulate...And at the bottom of the controllers screen it simply says a Bluetooth device was not found and I must connect Wii remotes manually.

I'm just curious, in your mode 4, does it show up in Windows as a keyboard/mouse or as a game controller? When in modes 1 and 2 mine shows up as a game controller, but when in modes 3 and 4 it shows up as a keyboard/mouse. I can't get it to show up as a game controller and read in another thread on this forum that it should show up as a game controller. That was just one user's one post, but it has had me fiddling with it endlessly removing it and reinstalling it trying to get it to install as a game controller with no luck. I'd like to know if that matters or not. 09-01-2017, 02:07 PM
Ok, I need to get something squared away. I was just reading the description on Amazon and it says it is keyboard/mouse mode in modes 1 and 2 and game controller in modes 3 and 4.
Is it possible I have the stupid thing upside down? Either way, I've tried all 4 modes and it doesn't work, but I at least need to be sure I'm on mode 4 and not mode 1. The way mine is set up, the cord and switches are at the bottom. The sync button is on the right and the mode select button and LED's are on the left. Do I have it upside down? If so, then it "does" show as a game controller in mode 4 (what I've been calling mode 1) but still doesn't work in Dolphin. Need to get this squared away, first. Amazon doesn't have a picture of it, only in the box, and I can't figure out which way is right side up! Thanks, --J |
