Hi All,

I'm observing a strange issue with my DolphinBar. I use it with 2 original Nintendo Wiimotes (with build in Motion Plus). After pairing the remote and starting games with in game curser the cursor only reacts when I'm facing the bar centered in front of me. It is still working when I move myself to the right (of course still facing the TV/Bar). But doing the same on the left side the cursor jumps like crazy or vanishes completely. I checked the LEDs with my Smartphone Camera and they seem to work. When i'm getting real close to the bar it is  getting better, but I still need to point excactly to the Bar. BTW There is one exception, in Zelda Skyward the control works from both right and left angle. Is there a difference because of Motion Plus?
Some notes: The Bar is about 1 year old, the version without on/off switch. It uses the latest Firmware for that model. I tried to install the FW from August, but installation is not possible saying it is already installed.  Huh I don’t see a dolphin problem as the issue is reproducible in the Mouse/Pointer Mode on the windows desktop. Both Wiimotes behave similar. Also tried the Bar on a 2nd PC. The bar is placed below the TV and is set to "bottom", also in dolphin. Distance to couch is about 3 meters.

Anybody else facing similar issues and can help?

Is there any other light source close to the left edge of the sensor bar?

I played arround with different positions and even tried another PC in a different room.

To be more precise please see attached a screenshot from the Wii Manual. The remote only works properly when I stand centered in front of the Bar. When I move myself to the right or left the cursor goes crazy. Left worse than right. Can other owners share their experience with the DolphinBar? Just want to know before replacing it. Am I expecting too much?

Some of the LEDs might have burned. If you point a camera to it diagonally, can you still see the IR LEDs?

Yes, see first post. They are all glooming.

You said you can see them from the front, can you still see them diagonally? Each side has two "clusters" of IR LEDs, the main one have three pointing forward and the second one has two at angled positions. I'm asking because I'm guessing the "angled" cluster might have burned, as the first version of the Dolphin Bar has a design flaw that can burn the LEDs due overvoltage, even with the firmware update (which BTW doesn't fix the issue)...

I check again tomorrow, but I'm quite sure that all 5 LEDs left and right were glooming. BTW how can I identify if I have the first version? I bought the bar october last year.

Until two weeks ago I wasn't even aware that a new revision of Dolphin Bar was being sold. From what I heard, the new revision has a On/Off switch for the IR LEDs while the previous revision didn't...

See attached photos from the LEDs. They don't look like burned?  Huh
