Dolphin Bar not syncing with wiimote

Hey, I've been trying to hook up the dolphin bar for the past few days with the original wiimote (rvl-cnt-01). When i press the sync button on the dolphin bar itself and then the sync button on the wiimote it doesn't connect. I had messed around with it for HOURS and got it to work somehow. I don't know how I got it working however I restarted my computer and now the wiimote has been disconnected and I'm back at square one.

I had used the dolphin bar and wiimote without issue when it WAS synced (after hours of trying to get it synced), but now that it is disconnected/unsynced I can't resync it. I don't know what I did last time to make it work, though i do know I looked up every tutorial on these forms as well as google searched my problem. It seems that no one else is having my exact problem. I read the directions in that came with the packaging and on their site and it just says to press both sync buttons. I do that and they just flash and then turn off after failing to connect. I have updated the drivers for the dolphin bar as well but it changes nothing... It just says that it has already been updated to the latest version.

The dolphin bar worked great for the time I could use it! But now I'm getting really frustrated and confused why something isn't working. I am using dolphin version 5.0 and have tried newer development versions yet to no avail. However when it was working I was using, at the time, 5.0. I have also plugged it into different USB ports 2.0 and 3.0 and still nothing makes it sync. All 4 modes result in no syncing. Might it be a defective dolphin bar? But it was working before...

I hope someone can help me and i appreciate it in advance.

Hi, i'v myself bought a dolphinbar and a genuine wiimote/nunchuck.
had the same problem at first : no syncing at all whatever mode/USB port i'v tried.

when you say that both sync buttons are flashing are turn off, i assume you'r talking about the dolphin bar and the little blue leds on the wiimote ?

in this case, when syncing :
- put the dolphin bar in mode 4 (real wiimote mode)
- launch the syncing on the dolphinbar by using the left button
- launch the syncing on the wiimote by pushing the little red button on the backside of the wiimote.

that did the trick for me, since by pushing the little red button on the wiimote is actually resetting all sync info of the wiimote...the dolphinbar and the wiimote saw each other almost immediately.
When the first sync is established, you shouldn't have to do it again soon. Just pushing any button on the wiimote will awaken her and connect to the dolphinbar

I admit, it was a plain and rather stupid problem, mostly because i didn't know anything about this little button on the wiimote....
