I am having trouble with the Dolphin Bar. Everything works fine, with one exception: IR pointer is disabled after "non use" (which could mean advancing to a game screen where it is not used to just moving the pointer off screen for about 5 seconds). Now, I understand that the recent firmware upgrade seeks to preserve the LEDs by shutting them down when the IR pointer is not needed, so I'm assuming this problem is related. The issue is that when it then becomes needed (such as start menu selection is Super Mario Galaxy) the Dolphinbar does not seem to "reenable" the IR function. I am forced to go over to the Dolphinbar and press the sync button which restores the IR pointer. It's getting mighty annoying to do this. Is there a solution I'm missing?
Dolphin Bar IR Pointer Shutoff

Why are you pressing the sync button? °~° Wiimotes sync with the DolphinBar, just as they do on the wii. And then you can just press A on the wiimotes and done! And as long as they are connected, the IR is lit. My only guess is that your issue is because you connected them to the Dolphinbar incorrectly... Be sure to use with the red sync button on the bottom! Do not pair with your operating system and do not even have Dolphin open while syncing with the DolphinBar!

"Sync" button I was referring to is on the Dolphin Bar. I can run games fine, but as in the Super Mario Galaxy example, wiimote remains connected and all functions work except IR pointer. If I press sync button on Dolphinbar, IR function is restored (until I point off screen for 5 seconds or advance to another menu. Then, left light on Dolphin bar turns off. All functions on wiimote remain intact, except IR pointer. Press sync again on Dolphin Bar, left light goes back on and IR function restored. 03-24-2016, 07:09 AM

How are you connecting wii remotes to the DolphinBar?

Initially, with Dolphin not running, simultaneously press sync on Dolphin Bar and sync (red button) on wiimote. Wiimote stops flashing and displays light 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. Permanently synced. Then, open game. This too a while to figure, but wiimote still display indicator light showing 1-4, but press red sync button, lights on wiimote flash, hold 1 + 2 until lights stop flashing, Dolphin shows wiimote connected. After connecting to 1st game, wiimote will automatically connect to next game loaded, even of Dolphin closed until wiimote is eventually powered off.

But that affirms my suspicions. Do not press 1+2 or press the red sync button any further once the wiimote is connected to the DolphinBar! When it is connected to the DolphinBar and both of it's lights are blue, it's connected to the DolphinBar and that's it! Once the wiimote is connected to the Dolphinbar, there are two ways to get Dolphin to recognize it. In both cases, when Dolphin connects successfully the wiimote will shake to confirm it.
